Joan's career in visual arts began at the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. in Art, and then a graduate
assistantship in the Graphic Studio at Indiana University, where she received a Masters Degree in Instructional Systems Technology. She worked as a Media Specialist and Graphic Designer in urban transportation before moving to Boston, where she was Art Director for an international training corporation and a multimedia production house. Joan soon founded Terry Design, specializing in print, video and multi-image design. Some of her client work has included Digital, Wang, Honeywell, Veryfine, ClearLight, Chubb Life Insurance, and The Boston Globe. She maintains her own business as a partner in a communications design firm and has won numerous awards for excellence in advertising and design. |
